In each game of Elysium, you’ll choose 5 gods from among the 8 in the game to make up the game’s deck of cards. This choice sets the tone of the game and transforms the game, as each god has different powers, which you’ll find in the cards of its family.
God of thunder and of the skies, uncontested ruler of the immortals, Zeus is versatile but his favor is precious. Indeed, his servants allow demigods to accumulate victory points during the game, without necessarily going through the Elysium.
God of the dead, lord of Hell. Hades greets heroes and places judgement during their passage to the Elysium. As victory points are earned thereby forging legends, his role is important as his servants help with transfers.
God of the sea, father of monsters. Poseidon is one of the most feared Olympians and his servants have deleterious effects on all other players. Gold, victory points, and even the cards in your Domain will not be safe from his wrath.
The sun god is also in charge of prophecies. When his family is in play, four cards from the next epoch are already known. The servants of Apollo can use the powers of these cards, or even possibly buy them immediately!by Cari
Merciless towards the weak, Ares, god of war, rewards the more prestigious. The cards of his family allow players to gain prestige points. When the game ends, the most prestigious of demigods is greatly rewarded in victory points, while the other players must be satisfied with crumbs.
The wisest of the immortals, Athena prefers agreement to quarrels. In Elysium, her servants grant the player who recruits them powerful powers, but these powers can be beneficial to the other players… albeit in a reduced form.
Blacksmith of the gods, he’s created many legendary items. Gold in Elysium represents the help granted by the gods to heroes. Hephaestus is therefore the specialist in this area. His servants allow players to accumulate this precious currency, required for the creation of legends.by Didier Poli
The messenger of the gods is whimsical and subtle. His servants can often use and reuse the powers of other cards, including heroes who have already gone to the Elysium or who are in the Domain of other players.
